This comprehensive training teaches employers, safety managers, and designated personnel how to develop, implement, and maintain an Emergency Action Plan (EAP) that complies with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910.38). Topics include establishing clear emergency communication systems and alarm procedures, designating and training emergency response team members, creating and posting evacuation maps and assembly points, conducting regular emergency drills and exercises, coordinating with local emergency responders (fire, police, EMS), developing shelter-in-place procedures for various scenarios, addressing specific hazards unique to your workplace, maintaining emergency contact lists and communication trees, and reviewing and updating the EAP annually or when workplace conditions change. This training provides practical guidance for creating a comprehensive emergency plan that protects employees and ensures business continuity during natural disasters, fires, medical emergencies, active shooter situations, and other crisis events.
